Two new Palaces for Schoolchildren Opened in Astana: What New Opportunities Have Been Created for Children
Modern multifunctional complexes have been designed to nurture children’s creative, intellectual, and athletic abilities. Each facility can accommodate 750 children per shift.
TANYM ART: A Space for Creativity and Technology
The new complex in the Saryarka District features approximately 50 classrooms where students can explore robotics, programming, and STEM technologies, learn to operate drones, and develop their scientific and technical skills.
The centre also offers activities in choreography, vocal performance, theatre, music, chess, and applied arts.
TANYM SPORT: New Opportunities for Young Athletes
TANYM SPORT, a new sports complex, has opened in the Almaty District. Approximately 30 sports sections are planned at the facility. It features a swimming pool, multifunctional sports halls, and dedicated spaces for boxing, wrestling, and other sports.
The modern facilities will allow children to improve their physical fitness, develop athletic skills, and prepare for competitions.
Both complexes are housed in three-storey buildings, each covering more than 12,000 square metres. They include classrooms, activity halls, and coworking spaces.
The centres offer both paid programmes and free classes available through a voucher system.
The opening of the new Palaces of Schoolchildren expands extracurricular education opportunities in the capital, allowing children to choose activities that match their interests closer to home.
The development of Astana’s network of Palaces of Schoolchildren continues. These new educational spaces aim to create opportunities for children to discover their talents, foster creativity, and achieve well-rounded development.
