Cyber Steppe: Two Days on Digital Security in Astana

Cyber Steppe: Two Days on Digital Security in Astana

On September 10–11, the Cyber Steppe conference will take place at the Alem.ai International Artificial Intelligence Center, bringing together representatives of government, business, the IT and cybersecurity communities, experts, students, educators, and citizens around one important topic — security in the digital environment.

On the first day, September 10, participants will discuss the cyber resilience of government and businesses, emerging cyber threats, the impact of artificial intelligence on information security, government-business cooperation, as well as key market trends for 2026–2027.

On September 11, the programme will focus on civil society. Families, children, students and educators will have the opportunity to learn more about cyber hygiene in an interactive format, complete practical simulations and tests, take part in games, and visit a deepfake laboratory.

The programme will feature panel sessions, workshops, case studies and open discussions with experts. The organisers expect more than 3,000 participants — over 2,000 attending offline in Astana and more than 1,000 joining online from across Kazakhstan.

The event will go beyond informative sessions, offering an interactive experience as well: masterclasses and arcade games, an interactive simulator that recreates conversations with scammers, and practical knowledge that participants can immediately apply in everyday life.

Cyber Steppe will be one of the key September events dedicated to digital security in Kazakhstan.

Location: Alem.ai International Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Astana

Event dates: September 10–11, 2026

Registration and the full programme are available on the official Cyber Steppe website.
